I am SO glad I found My Mayan Trip's Jorge Sanchez when I was doing deep planning for our Guatemala trip. We wanted to go from the airport into Guatemala City to Antigua to Panajachel and back to the airport over 9 days. Jorge worked with me on the itinerary and made great suggestions for touring stops along the way. (We took all of them!) He was almost instantaneously responsive to my emails and messages. I had the complete itinerary, costs, and dates all confirmed within a couple days - and weeks before we arrived in Guatemala. That gave me huge peace of mind.
This is a father-and-son business so you get personal, timely service. Jorge and I connected on Whatsapp and email - with Whatsapp being our primary messaging in Guatemala. Both he and son, Luis, are excellent drivers, personable, and helpful. We were 3 people (spanning 18 years old to early 70s!) and luggage, and there was the room we needed. Luis was our primary driver, and we enjoyed our chats with him and enjoyed his company at meals on the road and benefitted from his touring advice too.
Our trip:
-I arranged with Jorge for our airport pick-up to our hotel
-Luis collected us to go to Antigua and toured us there (the recommendation Jorge made to me for touring Cerro de la Cruz and Finca La Azotea)
-He collected us in Antigua to go to Panajachecl via stops at Iximche (Mayan Runs) and Chichicastenango (artisan's market in the northern highlands)
[and recommended, if we took a Lake Atitlan boat trip, we go to San Juan La Laguna - which we did)
-Luis then collected us in Panajachel to get to Aurora airport (Guate City)
Jorge also helped me out with a cell phone issue after we arrived.
Before we left the US, Jorge gave me info on entry into Guatemala (immigration form link that you also need to fill in up to 24 hrs before you exit Guatemala).
There were no hidden costs as Jorge also gave me planning info on entrance fees etc that would be our responsibility. I knew exactly what each trip would cost. Before I left the US, I prepared a labeled envelope for each trip putting in the US$ cost and the tip. (Make sure you get new, unmarked, not-torn bills or the bank will reject them. This is common in most countries.)

The best driver in Guatemala. Very helpful, reliable and kind. I very strongly recommend Jorge. We just left him as a friend and are already missing him.

Darcy Hill: Jorge was amazing
Jorge was a wonderful and lovely driver, we felt very safe in his hands. What could have just been transport was like a tour where we made stops to visit places along the way. Jorge knows some very good spots to stop! We also learnt a lot of new things about Guatemala from our chats with Jorge, I highly recommend him for your transport needs in Guatemala. He speaks very good English.
